Based on overwhelmingly positive response in 2017, the Gigabit City Summit is again partnering with Next Century Cities to offer City-Vendor Connect for our city delegations and corporate partners.

The event will bring together representatives from counties, cities, and towns that are looking for creative solutions to connect their communities to high-speed, reliable, affordable broadband and representatives from organizations offering a variety of solutions to city’s connectivity problems. This full-day event will give participants the opportunity to speak one-on-one about the ways in which they can partner to deploy broadband service.

City-Vendor Connect will mainly be set up in a “speed networking” format, to provide cities and vendors the opportunity to speak one-on-one to build relationships, discuss assets and needs, and create potential partnerships. The pairings of cities and vendors will be curated based on mutual interest, needs, and priorities between cities and vendors. Possible discussion topics range from fiber builds to 5G deployments to smart city analytics platforms.

We are limited to 30 city delegations and 30 vendors, so please let us know as soon as possible if you would like to participate. Please note: we will not be able to accommodate walk-up vendors for this event, you must be registered for the conference and the City-Vendor Connect day.

City delegations and private sector partners who are attending the Gigabit City Summit have the first opportunity to participate in the City-Vendor Connect event, and you will be asked during registration if you would like to join. If you are not interested in attending the whole Summit but are interested in participating in City-Vendor Connect, please contact gigabitcity@kcdigitaldrive.org or cblake@nextcenturycities.org.
